Application

Can be applied on any building that can accommodate the extra load of the ballast and where the roof slope does not exceed 10%.

Description

The RubberGard™ EPDM Ballasted System is an economical EPDM roofing system, suitable for a wide variety of buildings. The membrane is loosely laid over the substrate and held in place using approved ballast.

SA-19 Primer.

Guidance for specification option:

Elevate SA-19 Primer is used to prime and prepare exterior concrete, wood, and metal surfaces to enhance the adhesion of Elevate V-Gard vapour control membrane. It's also used to prime seams when required.

Skirtings and vertical work

Air and vapour control layer

V-Gard Vapor Control layer.

Guidance for specification option:

Elevate V-Gard Vapor Control Membrane is designed to be used as a vapour control layer in Elevate roofing systems. It consists of a reinforced aluminium foil with self-adhesive bituminous backing protected by a release film. The fibreglass reinforcement makes it suitable for applications that involve high mechanical stresses. The Elevate V-Gard membrane can be installed on concrete, wood and steel deck.

Elevate ISOGARD AK insulation board consists of a closed-cell polyiso (PIR) foam core laminated on both sides to a gastight multi-layered aluminium complex.

ISOGARD MG PIR Insulation.

Guidance for specification option:

Thermal conductivity: 0.025–0.028 W/m.K.

Thickness: 30–160 mm. Insert requirements.

100% cured non-reinforced, Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Terpolymer (EPDM) synthetic rubber, manufactured in an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 registered facility. Minimum unspliced width of 3.05 m.

Specification compliance:

ASTM D 4637/ EN 13956 (CE Mark).

7500 hrs of Artificial Ageing as per EN 1297.

Geotextile protection mat, 200 g/m² (minimum) weight, and ballast layer, 50 kg/m² (minimum) weight.

Guidance for specification option:

The ballast layer such as pavers, pebbles, concrete, are placed on top of the geotextile protection mat. The minimum weight of ballast material required for this system is 50 kg/m2. More ballast weight may be required for roofs with higher wind load.
