Recyclability | 100% Manufacturer guidanceHigh-density polyethylene (HDPE) is recyclable. HDPE is one of the most commonly recycled types of plastic, recognized by its recycling number 2. It is widely used for products such as milk jugs, detergent bottles, plastic bags, and piping. The recycling process for HDPE typically involves collecting and sorting the material, cleaning it to remove impurities, and then shredding and melting it down. The melted plastic is then formed into pellets that can be used to manufacture new HDPE products. Recycling HDPE reduces the demand for virgin plastic, conserves resources, and decreases the environmental impact associated with plastic waste. |
