This clause deals with joint sealants identified (or defined by context) in system outline clauses as acrylic construction joint sealants (as opposed to acrylic glazing sealants). Acrylic sealants are single pack systems comprising fillers pre-dispersed in an acrylic binder. The material is of high viscosity and is dispensed by gun or trowelled into the gap to be sealed. Fire retardant intumescent acrylic sealants are available.
