  • Available in high volume

Details:

IAE’s PlasProtek Bollard is a plastic sleeved steel core unit for protecting pedestrian zones and equipment.

The PlasProtek bollard unit is made up of a tubular steel core welded to a bolt down base plate, with a removable LDPE plastic cover sleeve.

The tubular steel core is 76 mm diameter circular hollow section.

The cover sleeve is 1200 mm high and 183 mm in diameter.

These dimensions leave an air gap between the steel core and outer sleeve that allows a measure of shock absorption, so that light impacts don't damage the centre core or the ground fixings, requiring expensive replacement and repair work.

The sleeve is left loose to rotate freely around the core allowing glancing blows roll off without damaging the inner core.

The sleeve is bright yellow and includes 2no. black bands for maximum visibility.

If the sleeve is scratched or damaged, it can be simply slid off and replaced with a new one.

The bollards are typically used in groups either along pedestrian walkways to highlight and define pedestrian zones or around machinery and equipment. They can also be used near doorways and against structural columns and racking to highlight edges and guard against impact.

The bollards are an effective way to minimise the risk of injury to workers and minimise the risk of damage to equipment and buildings.
