The Ullswater tree guard is an extremely robust means of tree protection.  This guard will prevent damage to a tree from potential accidental shunts from heavy vehicles. It is constructed from 16 mm diameter solid mild steel bars which are welded to 3No horizontal 30 x 30 x 3 mm angle ring sections. The angle ring sections will ensure that it retains its correct radius and adds significant strength to the overall construction.

The very tops of the bars are fitted with 50 mm diameter steel finials which add visual quality and safety to the design. The method of fixing to a tree grille is by means of 4No fixing brackets and stainless steel bolts. The system is designed so that the fixings are out of sight, tamper resistant and bolt directly to the inner ring within the tree grille aperture. The apertures within the fixing brackets are elongated to provide overall vertical adjustment for the tree guard if required. There are optional ground fixing spikes available for fixing directly into the ground when not used in conjunction with a tree grille.

The standard height of the tree guard is 1800 mm.  The diameter is either 600 mm (Product Code ULLSSP6A) or 500 mm (Product Code ULLSSP5A) depending on which tree grille it is being used with.

The high quality finishing process consists fettling, shot blasting, followed by a double process baked powder coat treatment to the specified RAL colour.
