A Portland cement based cementitious fireproofing designed to meet specific commercial and industrial fire protection requirements on structural steel members, floor/ ceiling and roof/ ceiling assemblies. It is formulated for use in areas susceptible to damage, high humidity and semi exposed conditions. Being Portland cement based it is hard and resistant to moisture and abrasion. Z-106 HY is to be used with GCP Injection system and Monokote® Accelerator to reduce the set time. The applied fireproofing will set typically within 15 minutes; thus, allowing the operative to apply a second coat almost immediately. This unique fast setting properties enables Z-106 HY to withstand adverse weather conditions encountered during the construction phase. It is, therefore, ideally suited for application to the building whilst in its “open envelope” stage.

Storage
The material shall be kept dry until ready for use, packages of material shall be kept off the ground, under cover and away from sweating walls and other damp surfaces, all bags that have been exposed to water before use shall be discarded, stock of material is to be rotated and used before its expiration date
