Various types of proprietary cavity closer are available. They are used to seal cavities partly spanned by in situ concrete, support dpcs spanning cavities below copings, close cavities at the jambs of door/ window openings and at the top of cavity walls, etc. Closers incorporating insulation close cavities without introducing a cold bridge. Those designed for use adjacent to joinery usually act as a dpc or incorporate an attached dpc.
