Lewis Dovetail Metal Deck concrete composite acoustic floor installed over timber. The floor build-up has a number of variables for achieving acoustic results.
The B4 detail is an acoustic floor detail. These are either new build or renovation timber joisted floors within both residential or commercial projects.

This floor detail includes a single 12.5 mm plasterboard with a plaster finish, mounted on acoustic hangers attached to the timber joists. Mineral wool is placed between and a timber board over the joists. Lewis mineral wool resilient strips placed on top of the boards, then the Lewis Deck and a total depth of 50 mm of concrete or screed installed on the top.

Under floor heating can also be installed within the screed or concrete.
Up to 120 mins resistance can be achieved.

Acoustic results can be achieved that go far beyond the requirements for building control and the system is often used in much more demanding acoustic applications.
High loadbearing and fire are also achieved.
