Two-hour fire-resisting roller shutter tested to EN 1634-1 and rated E120 in accordance with EN 13501-2, EN13241, EN16034 and EN 15269-10. Additionally, the shutter is rated E60 when fixed to flexible structures in accordance with EN 15269-10 Clause J.1.2, and is CE marked accordingly.

Features and benefits:

  • Operation: Electrical operation is by means of a 230 V nominal single-phase or 400 V nominal three-phase Speedsafe motor mounted on one end plate. Standard operation is via a low-level push button station with emergency stop button. A pull cord and hand chain are provided for use in the event of power failure.
  • Activation is via a signal for the fire alarm system to an auto reset solenoid. When activated, releases the motor brake allowing the shutter to close by gravity with a controlled descent.
  • Curtain: The shutter curtain is constructed from continuously interlocked 76 mm curved section steel laths, which are securely held in place by end locks. Lath thicknesses vary dependent upon opening size.
  • Bottom rail: These are galvanized, and roll formed into a tee section.
  • Guides: Channel section galvanized mild steel guides, with slotted fixings for expansion in a fire, are fixed to the jambs with continuous steel angles.
  • Roller: The roller is manufactured from mild steel tube of sufficient diameter and wall thickness to resist deflection and is mounted in bearings on each end plate. A safety brake is included to comply with the safeguarding requirements of EN 12604.
  • End plates: Fabricated from carbon steel of adequate thickness relative to door size, supplied with angles for fixing to the structure.
  • Casing: A galvanized steel casing is supplied as standard to maintain the fire seal at the head.
