Suitable for educational, commercial and retail applications, transport terminals, health service buildings.

Description

Three chamber 75 mm polyamide window system which achieved good thermal performance. An enhancement to the SPW 600 Suite of windows which introduces a polystyrene strip in the thermal break cavity alongside a backer rod situated around the insulated glazed unit (IGU) ensure the window exceeds the rigorous standards set in the Building Regulation (E&W) Approved Document L.

  • Air permeability: 600 Pa.
  • Watertightness: 600 Pa.
  • Wind resistance: 2400 Pa.
  • Carries a Window Energy Rating (WER) of A–C.


Size limitations:

  • Vent height: 520–2400 mm.
  • Vent width: 465–1500 mm.
  • Maximum weight: 130 kg/ 150 kg.


Features and benefits:

  • Includes a polystyrene strip in the thermal break cavity alongside a backer rod situated around the insulated glazed unit.
  • Polyamide thermal barriers are manufactured in accordance with PA66 GF25.
  • Gaskets are manufactured in accordance with BS 3734.


Construction:

Constructed with mitred and mechanically crimped or joined corners, with support chevrons and cleats to ensure accurate alignment. Integral transoms and mullions are fixed into the outer frames with screws or brackets. Joints are sealed against water ingress during assembly. Opening lights are inserted directly into the outer frames on butt hinges or friction stays. Vent frames can be fixed directly into the framing modules. Individual modules can be fully assembled and then transported to site. The windows incorporate an integral polyamide thermal break.
