The main application for the E8AS is in heating tap water. The E8AS has an optimized asymmetric plate geometry that combines extraordinary thermal efficiency with a low pressure drop.

Like all E-type BPHEs from SWEP, the E8AS has an All-Active plate pack. This means all the heat exchanger's plates are used for heat transfer, which maximizes material utilization.

The first and last plates are reinforced to guarantee mechanical stability and to avoid sharp edges that could injure personnel or damage other objects. The combination of exceptional efficiency and maximized material utilization makes the E8AS the perfect choice for applications demanding high thermal efficiency and low pressure drop, such as combi boilers and tap water stations.

The E8AS is capable of handling a water flow rate up to 50 l/min.
