Manufactured in thicknesses of 38 mm (1-1/2") to 152 mm (6"). QuietZone® insulation is sound absorptive material for various interior load bearing and non-load bearing sound and fire rated wall, ceiling, and floor assemblies. See data sheet for complete size availability.

 

Designed to help control sound transfer by absorbing sound vibrations transmitted through interior walls, ceilings, and floors. Permitted installation within various fire rated assemblies to maintain or achieve fire resistance rating.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Effective long-term acoustical performance by absorbing sound transfer
  • With less dust than other fiberglass products, PINK NEXT GEN™ FIBERGLAS® insulation has excellent stiffness and recovery characteristics
  • Designed for friction fit to prevent settlement and slump within cavity
  • Compression packaging from Owens Corning eases job site handling
  • Non-combustible; dimensionally stable
  • Not susceptible to rot or mildew and will not corrode steel, copper and aluminum
  • Preferred insulation as validated through gypsum contractor association

 

Certifications and Sustainable Features

  • Certified by SCS Global Services to contain a minimum of 73% recycled glass content, 12% pre-consumer, and 61% post-consumer
