NBS Plug-in for Autodesk® Revit® – download layered and component families

The new BIM Library in NBS Source has tens of thousands of high-quality Revit® layered and component families that are free to download. Using the NBS Plug-in for Autodesk® Revit®, these objects can be downloaded from NBS directly into your design.

All of these BIM objects are certified to meet the NBS BIM Object Standard. Example system families include wall, floor and ceiling objects. Example component families includes door, window and sanitaryware objects.

NBS generic objects can be used from early on in your projects. You can also search and browse to find objects from the leading manufacturers.

The plug-in also allows designers to coordinate the design in Revit® with the specification in NBS Chorus .

Specifications can be assembled and written from within the Revit® environment. Objects and specification clauses can be associated for easy annotation and scheduling. Furthermore, warnings and error messages are displayed if the design and specification become out of sync.

Those team members without permissions to edit the specification may still view, annotate and add notes within the integrated environment.

NBS Plug-in for Autodesk® Revit® – support for creating high-quality objects

Revit® layered and component families from NBS are authored to the NBS BIM Object Standard . This is a globally recognized mark of quality and consistency for BIM objects.

To supplement the standard, Revit® project and template files, and the Revit® shared parameter file (used by the NBS authoring team) are also available to download.

The plug-in includes a feature to insert parameters (as defined in the NBS BIM Object Standard) directly into user-created families within the Revit® environment.
