Floors (83)

Structural floor or subfloor constructions may be ground bearing (using the ground beneath for support) or suspended (supported clear of the ground, usually by walls or columns). Structural floors have finishes applied direct. Structural subfloors provide support for, e.g. raised access floor systems (forming voids for the distribution of services) and sprung floors with battens acting as shock absorbers.
